“YOU ARE FREED FROM YOUR INFIRMITY” (Luke 13:12)
⏰Monday of the Thirtieth Week of Ordinary Time 1 (30 October 2017)
????Rom 8:12-17; Ps 68:2 and 4, 6-7ab, 20-21 (R.v.21a); Luke 13:10-17
????”YOU ARE FREED FROM YOUR INFIRMITY” (Luke 13:12)
Did you say ‘amen’ to that declaration? That is what Jesus says to you today as we begin this new working week. St. Paul had said that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ (Rom 8:1).
Are you in Christ? Are you being possessed by the spirit of God or by the spirit of the world?
St. Paul reminds us again today that the spirit of gives life to those who receive him. It is this spirit that makes us adopted children of God, and so, heirs to the kingdom of God. And as heirs, we can never be slaves to the devil and all his malicious powers (Rom 8:12-17).
If you choose to align yourself with the spirit of the world, it will prefer to keep you in chains as the synagogue official wanted for the woman whom Jesus healed; but Jesus wants you to be free (see Mark 13:10-17).
May the Spirit of God keep you attached to God at all times so that you might be freed from all devilish enslavement that cause backwardness. May you continue to grow from strength to strength so that you shall be a sign of God’s glory, in this world and in the next. Amen
Have a smooth running and fulfilled new working week. Peace be with you.
Amen..and with your spirit fr.pl
