“TO ONE WHOSE WAY IS BLAMELESS, I WILL SHOW THE SALVATION OF GOD” (Ps 50:23)
⏰Monday of the Second Week in Ordinary Time Year 2 (15 January 2017)
????1 Sam 15:16-23; Ps 50:8-9, 16bc-17, 21 and 23 (R.v.23bc); Mark 2:18-22
Welcome to this brand new working week! I invite you to embrace the new week without fear because God has promised that you shall be given a new name which the mouth the mouth of God shall declare (cf. Isa 62:2). And with that new name, no longer shall you be associated with bad news again, and your name shall no longer be used to describe a bad event. Amen.
He already made that new name available to you at Baptism and he continues to renew it every moment out of his great love, which never ceases but is renewed every morning (cf. Lam 3:22-23).
Now that he has given you this new name, he encourages you to take care to ensure that you do not attach the new name to your old way of life (see Mark 2:18-22), which was dented with disobedience (see 1 Sam 15:22-23).
As you however make effort to be blameless in the sight of God, may he continue to open new doors and continue to do new things in your life. May this new working week bring you numerous causes for testimony, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Have a smooth running and fulfilled working week. Peace be with you.
Amen
