THE LORD IS WITH YOU!
⏰Tuesday of the Twenty-Seventh Week of Ordinary Time 2 (09 October 2018)
📖Gal 1:13-24; Ps 139:1-3, 13-14, 15 (R.v.24b); Luke 10:38-42
My dear, the presence of God in your life can create so much difference in the kind of fruit you bear. Yesterday, we talked about bearing the fruit of love instead of discrimination; it is only by the presence of God in our life that we can choose to love.
In Gal 1:13-24, St. Paul testified that his zeal to preach was informed by his encounter with Christ, and the content of his message was a revelation from Christ, not from any man. With that, he established his authority to preach, which is Christ.
Jesus also wants to have that same encounter with us. At Baptism, he introduces us into the life of the Holy Trinity so that we may share in the love that unites them. At the daily sacrifice of the Holy Mass, he invites us to a renewal of that relationship – with the Liturgy of the Word to renew our understanding, and with the Liturgy of the Eucharist to nourish our souls.
With his presence in the family of Martha and Mary in Bethany (Luke 10:38-42), the two sisters were inspired to two different but important aspects of the life of the Church of God, Mary became a contemplative while Martha was involved in active ministry. Openness to God who calls would always direct us to where he wants us to serve.
As you continue to seek the face of the Lord, may his love overshadow you so that you make great exploits and become victorious in your Christian vocation. May the glory of the Lord never depart from you. Amen.
Have a blessed and fruitful day in the presence of the Lord. Peace be with you.
