🎤”GOD WILL REPAY EVERYONE ACCORDING TO HIS CONDUCT” (Matt 16:27)
Our Catholic Catechism teaches us that God created us to know him, love him, serve him in this world, and be happy with him in the next. That happiness with him in the next is the next is what we call life in abundance, which is what God willed for his people and Jesus came to accomplish (John 10:10).
Gaining that life can only be ours by closely following Christ. Following Christ can also come with cross and pains. But our steadfastness will win us the desired goal, which is eternal life.
So what is that problem that is itching to take you away from the love of Christ in the same way the Assyrians tried to remove Israel from God’s plan? Hold firm, with God by your side, you are more than a conqueror (Rom 8:31-37). All you need to do is to carry whatever cross that comes your way and faithfully follow Christ (read Matt 16:24-28).
As for those who are able to carry their crosses faithfully after Christ, the prophet Nahum has this message, “Never again shall the wicked come against you” (Nah 2:1). But to those who remain unfaithful, the opposite is the case.
Which option do you choose?
May God bless you with lovely and prosperous day. Amen.
Peace be with you.
