DO NOT LET YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED

FB_IMG_1433738046299⏰Friday of the Fourth Week of Lent (16 March 2018)

????Wis 2:1a, 12-22; Ps 34:17-18, 19-20, 21 and 23 (R.v.19a); John 7:1-2, 10, 25-30

“The wicked said among themselves, thinking not aright: Let us beset the just one, because he is obnoxious to us; he sets himself against our doings, Reproaches us for transgressions of the law and charges us with violations of our training…These were their thoughts, but they erred; for their wickedness blinded them, and they knew not the hidden counsels of God; neither did they count on a recompense of holiness nor discern the innocent souls reward” (Wisdom 2:1,11-22).

Whenever you are on the right path and you are being persecuted for that, read the above portion of the Scripures and be consoled. The enemy can go ahead and plot your downfall but be assured that the very stones they cast on you would be your stepping stones to glory.

God’s mandate on you must come to pass (remember that Joseph went to Egypt, his land of glory without paying the transport fare because his brothers’ envy already paid). Remember also that it was for the right course that Jesus was persecuted and killed. If they did so to the Master, how much more you, the disciple (Matt 10:25)?

Stand firm for righteousness’ sake, my dear, for your perseverance in doing good will win you your victory (read Rom 12:12; Gal 6:9; Col 1:11-12; James 1:12; Rev 2:10; Rev 3:10).

May the Lord be your strength in the face of challenges to your faith. And may his grace be sufficient in sustaining your faith in him. Amen.

Have a stress-free day dear. Peace be with you.
