🎤BE PART OF THE NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH
My dear, as we begin this new working week even at the climax of the deadly Corona virus, the prophet Isaiah gives us a beautiful message of hope. He says that God is going to do something new in our lives (cf. Isa 65:17-21), A-M-E-N! May you see and experience a manifestation of those good tidings in your life this week and beyond through Christ our Lord. Amen.
The people of Israel came back from the exile heartbroken because Jerusalem which had been their pride has been destroyed. They lost hope of ever going to have such a beautiful city again just as many of us are beginning to lose hope in the face of the deadly corona virus. It was in that state that the prophet made this prophecy of hope.
I don’t know what seeming hopeless condition that you have found yourself at this time. For some people, ever getting a life partner is now like an impossibility; for some others, they have tried all they could do to make progress in life but no way. Still for some others, sickness has not been giving them breathing space and no hope for cure in sight.
In whatever situation you might, the prophet tells you this morning that God shall make a new heaven and a new earth for you where you shall weep no more.
Do you want to be a citizen of that new city? The only entrance visa into it is faith. The centurion got his own share of the good tidings because he believed; he believed in the words spoken by Jesus and so had his son healed (cf. John 4:43-52). You too will surely get that your situation taken care of if only you believe.
Note however that the faith we talk about is not a blind one but one that goes with reason. Our intellect is a gift from God. And he expects us to put it to work. Hence, while we look up to God in faith to save from the predicaments of corona virus, for instance, he would expect us to use our reason to devise means of keeping ourselves protected. That is the true meaning of heaven helps those who help themselves.
We continue to pray that God may grant us a deep faith in him so that we may get the new life he is offering us and, in the end, go with him into the new Jerusalem, which he has prepared for us through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Have a joyful new working week of breakthroughs and new things. Peace be with you.
