WE SHALL BE JUDGED BY WHAT WE HAVE DONE (cf. Rev 20:12)

????WE SHALL BE JUDGED BY WHAT WE HAVE DONE (cf. Rev 20:12)

Even though the book of Revelation tries to confront the prevailing issues of the moment, it also predicts what shall happen in the future. Remember that it is also a prophecy (cf. Rev 1:3). So while it consoles and encourages the Christians in the face of their persecuting enemy, it also warns about the deceiving enemy, satan which leads us into sin.

Hence, Rev 20:1 – 21:2 tells us of the imprisonment of that enemy and the establishment of the new Jerusalem. Note that it is the death and resurrection of Jesus that made that possible. And all are invited to come into that new Jerusalem. It promises to be a great place to be (Rev 21:9-26). Yet, not all will enter into the new Jerusalem. “Nothing that is unclean shall enter it, or anyone who does what is shameful or false” (Rev 21:27).

Are you not ready yet for that day of judgement? Can you not read the signs of the time to realise that the end is near?

May the deceptive enemy remain tied away from your life so that you may remain focused in your journey to heaven. May you be found worthy to be in marriage feast of the Lamb in that new Jerusalem. Amen.
