WE ARE MEMBERS OF THE SAME BODY OF CHRIST

⏰Tuesday of the Twenty-fourth Week of Ordinary Time 2 (18 Sept. 2018)

📖1 Cor 12:12-41; Ps 100:1-2, 3, 4, 5 (R.v.3c); Luke 7:11-17

My dear, whatever you have that is lacking in others is meant to be used to supply for such lack. This includes your possession, position and race. Never look down on people because of what they are or where they come from; it annoys God. This is the point that St Paul makes in 1Cor 12:12-41.

Anyone who discriminates is working against the very manifesto of Jesus in Luke 4:18-19. That means, he works against the plans of God.

Let us learn from Jesus who is always looking out for those who are suffering in order to alleviate their sufferings. See how he moved to raise the son of the widow of Naim from the dead (Luke 7:11-17). In the same way, he commands us to go into the world and proclaim the Good News.

That Good News ought to make all of us people of equal right;
👉It gives the poor a place in the midst of the rich;
👉It gives the sick the desired care just as Jesus cared for the lepers.

To whom much is given, much is expected. If you use your gifts well for building up others, even if you suffer in the process, be sure that God will not leave you empty handed.

As you labour to use your God-given gifts for the good of others, may God continue to increase your blessings and accomplish for you all that you cannot do for yourself. May he grant you open doors in the place you labour and breakthroughs in time of difficulties. Amen.

Peace be with you.
