📖Heb 3:7-14; Ps 95: 6-7abc, 7d and 8-9, 10-11 (R.v.8a); Mark 1:40-45

My dear, the word of God in 2 Chron 7:14 says, “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

The leper in Mark 1:40-45 humbled himself and sought help from Jesus, and indeed, he got his desired healing. His statement, “If you will, you can make me clean” (Mark 1:40) is an expression of that humility and total resignation to the will of God. Nobody can really do that without a deep faith and trust in God.

If you have faith and trust in God, you must remain firm with righteousness in his presence. You must not be like those who, though knowing that God is able to save, are yet impatient with him, and so go ahead to soil their hands by seeking other gods (see Heb 3:7-14).

No matter the magnitude of the challenges that weigh you down, remain with Jesus because the joy that comes in the end is worth more than the challenges (cf. Rom 8:18).

Can you not see, that joy was so overwhelming in the leper that he failed to obey Jesus who desired that the miracle be kept secret? May your daily encounter with Jesus gain you freedom and an inestimable joy through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

Have a miraculous and joyful day. Peace be with you.
