🎤SET YOUR VALUES RIGHT!

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you (2 Cor 13:13).

God created everything good for us (Gen 1:31) and he wills that we may reap good fruits of all he had made. All that we need to enjoy this favour is to be with God. So forget about your worries in life and seek God. He shall not disappoint you.

The young man that came to Jesus to inquire what he must do to gain eternal life (Matt 19:16) was obviously a devoted churchman. He was always at Mass, received Holy Communion very often and made fat donations to the Church always. But he lacked the most vital quality that would have allowed God to come in – detachment. We need to let go in order to let God in.

The ‘letting go’ that we talk about here is a thing of the mind. It, in fact, means priding God above all things. The Israelites gloried in their temple but did not have equal respect for God whose house the temple ought to be. God warned that the temple would be taken away from them (cf. Ezek 24:15-24).

Our body is the temple of God (1Cor 6:19). How do we live your life today?

Beloved in Christ, if we leave God and chase after other things, we may lose all. I encourage you, in this new work week, seek the face of God and wait to see what God would do in your life.

NB: Today is the 2nd day of my novena in preparation for my 7th priestly ordination anniversary. Kindly join me in praying that “God may make me a complete instrument in his hands for the accomplishment of his mission on earth, and that I may find fulfilment daily in my ministry.”

Thank you in anticipation. Have a successful week ahead. Peace be with you.
