IS YOUR HEART RICH ENOUGH FOR JESUS?

⏰Wednesday of the Third Week in Ordinary Time 1 (30 Jan 2019)

🎤IS YOUR HEART RICH ENOUGH FOR JESUS?

The truth that we can never tired of speaking is that Jesus is all that we need. There is no achievement that we make in this life which can be compared to the glory and victory that is gained by being with him. Yes, nothing in this life satisfies.

But Jesus has provided all we need. He says to us, “Come to me, all who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest” (Matt 11:28). The sum of it is the salvation which he has won for us, at the expense of his blood, once and for all (see Heb 10:11-18).

Hence, the parable of Jesus in Mark 4:1-20 encourages us to prepare a rich dwelling for Jesus in our heart. There, Jesus was obviously more interested in the nature of the soil where the seeds fell. This seed is planted in us when we received the faith and got baptized. How well do we allow it to grow?

It is never late to begin while we can. Can you not begin to manure your heart with the word of God and prayer? Remember that Jesus is still the Word of God (John 1:1). If he comes and thrives in the rich soil of your heart, you will bear, not only a rich harvest of faith, but also that of progress and prosperity.

May God grant you the grace to remain focused and not be distracted by the struggles of this life, so that we may welcome Christ always and joyfully into our heart. Amen.

Have a fruitful day. Peace be with you.
