IN JESUS IS OUR FREEDOM

⏰Wednesday of the Fifth Week of Lent (05 April 2017)

Sin enslaves us but whoever is in Christ Jesus is free indeed (John 8:34, 36). The devil promises false security and threatens to terminate us when we refuse to worship him (cf. Dan 3:4-6, 14-15) but remember that God never abandons those who put their trust in him (cf. Dan 3:95).

Those who put their trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion that cannot be shaken but stands forever (Psalm 125:1) and those who hope in him renew their strength and sower as with eagle’s wings (Isa 40:31).

So do not fear those who can only kill your body but after that cannot do more. Fear rather he who can kill the body and also cast the soul into hell fire (Matt 10:28). The devil can do nothing to you without God’s permission (cf. Job 1:11-12; 2:4-6).

Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth (Psalm 124:8).
