“I WILL SING FOREVER OF YOUR MERCIES, O LORD” (Ps 89:2)

⏰Thursday of the Fourth Week of Easter (11 May 2017)

????Acts 13:13-25; Ps 89:2-3, 21-22, 25 and 27 (R.v.2a); John 13:16-20

Even if the only thing you can say about God is about his love and mercy, you can be sure that you know all about him, after all, his name is love (cf. 1 John 4:16). That knowledge helped Paul and Barnabas a lot to kick-start their mission in a foreign land that they had been sent to.

In order to prove his point on everlasting love of God, Paul reminded them of how faithful God had been to their fathers and how he has continued in their time to the extent of giving them his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, through who salvation came to them.

Can you forget about your problems for a moment and think about the faithfulness of God in your life? Try to spend some quiet moments today recalling some moments of God’s mercy in your life. You might be surprised to discover that God’s faithfulness has equally been so great in you.

In that case, you owe God the duty of making him known to people everywhere as Paul and Barnabas did. And as you do so, may his love and mercy continue to be multiplied in and through you. Amen.

Have a blessed day ahead. Peace be with you.
