🎤I WILL FOLLOW JESUS
Do you remember what we said yesterday about Jesus and the plans of the Pharisees and the Herodians against him? They planned to make life unbearable for him in the synagogue. So Jesus had to leave the synagogue for them; he moved to the street to meet the common people who have need of him (cf. Mark 3:7-12).
Yes, when he moved, “a great number of people” followed him. These people came from the nations considered to be pagan nations. Can you imagine that? Jesus offered himself to his own people considered to be people of God but it was the pagans who accepted him? Where do you belong? Will you accept or reject him?
I have decided to accept him because I have discovered that he is really all that I need. He heals my sickness and prevents the devil from taking hold of me. More importantly, he laid down his life that I might be saved. With his sacrifice for me, I will no longer need to offer the blood of the lamb as was the tradition in the Old Testament (cf. Heb 7:25 – 8:6). What about you?
May Jesus give you the grace to follow faithfully, and may he cure all your diseases and provide all your needs. In the end, may you not lose the salvation he offers us. Amen.
Have a day of liberation from pains and sorrow. Peace be with you.
Amen
