“I AM YOUR BROTHER, JOSEPH…GOD SENT ME BEFORE YOU TO PRESERVE LIFE” (Gen 45:4-5)
⏰Thursday of the Fourteenth Week of Ordinary Time 1 (13 July 2017)
????Gen 44:18-21, 23b-29; Ps 105:16-17, 18-19, 20-21 (R.v.5a); Matt 10:7-15
My dear, “if God is with us, who can be against us?” (Rom 8:31). The obvious answer is that nobody can; not even the most powerful agent of the devil. In fact, instead of pushing you away from your destiny, they will aid you to reach it. Amen.
The siblings of Joseph sold him to the Egyptian merchants (Gen 37:27-28) because he told them that he dreamt of being their leader and they were bowing before him (Gen 37:5ff). They sold him into slavery so as to stop the fulfilment of that dream, but God’s ways are not our ways (cf. Isa 55:8).
Don’t get yourself worked up when people try to pull you down because they see you having a better prospect than they; the words they use against you will turn around to lift you up and the stones they hurl at you will be your stepping stones. Amen.
So, do not be afraid even when the enemy suggests to you that you have come to the end of the road of progress. Tell the enemy that the Lord is not finished with you yet; he is still working (cf. John 5:17). And I can see everything turning around for your good. Amen.
Just live your life in righteousness and let your life preach the gospel of liberation to people. You received without charge, give without charge and it shall be well with you.
Amen
