PERSEVERE IN FAITH IN CHRIST
????Col 1:21-23; Ps 54:3-4, 6 and 8 (R.v.6a); Luke 6:1-5
My dear, Christ died for our sake and it is by his wounds that we are healed (cf. Isa 53:5). He has made all things well for us (cf. Mark 7:37) and that is why we said before now that he is all that we need. If we keep our faith in him, he is able to do exceedingly more than we ever ask him.
Yet, it is not even easy to keep faith in him at all times because of the troubles, persecutions and temptations which the world offers us. No matter where the obstacles might be coming from, St. Paul reminds us that we have been made one with Christ through his death. And so, we become untouchables.
In that way, any tongue that rises against us in judgment is condemned (cf. Isa 54:17). There is no condemnation for anyone who is in him (cf. Rom 8:1). Even when the law tries to condemn us, let us remain focused on him because he is the law giver and is ever ready to defend us (see Luke 6:1-5).
May God grant us the grace to hold on to him at all times no matter the tribulations that try to pull us down. Amen.
I wish you a happy and restful weekend in the protective hands of Christ. Peace be with you.
