O LORD, INCREASE MY FAITH

Beloved in Christ, thank you for your prayers on my feast day yesterday. The messages were so overwhelming that I didn’t know which to reply again. May God bless you abundantly and make this new month of February a joyful one for you, through Christ our Lord. Amen

We all indeed need an increase in faith. We need to possess that kind of faith that moves mountain (cf. Matt 17:20). Heb 11:1 says that “faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it, the men of old received divine approval.” Abraham was an example of this. He hoped against hope. Even when they were almost passed child bearing age in the eyes of men, he still believed that God would do it as he promised.

Can I have such a living faith? The disciples of Jesus lacked that faith. Even after Jesus had said, “Let us go across to the other side” (Mark 4:35), they still doubted the possibility of their reaching the other side. They forgot the word of God in Isa 55:11 that the word that goes off the mouth of God shall not return to him unfulfilled. He would later confirm that heaven and earth will pass away but his words would not pass away (cf. Matt 24:35).

Do not forget that his plan for you is for peace and not for disaster. It is plan to give you a good future in this month and beyond (Jer. 29:11). When the enemy threatens your life, he assures you that your portion is to have life in its fullness (John 10:10). He has given a command that you shall be fruitful in this month and beyond (Gen 1:28). All you need to do is to work hard with strong faith in God and all will work out well for you.

I need to possess such faith. And I also pray that God may grant you the grace to possess such faith too so that you might be able to pull out any mountain that constitutes an obstacle to you. Amen.

Have a wonderful weekend. It is well with you.
