HAVE YOU TOLD GOD ABOUT IT?

⏰Monday of the Twenty-Fourth Week of Ordinary Time 1 (18 September 2017)

????1 Tim 2:1-8; Ps 28:2, 7, 8-9 (R.v.6); Luke 7:1-10

For some days, the tension in the country has escalated and there are lots of blames and counter-blames going on here and there. Many wants everything to come to a favourable end but, unfortunately, not many people have talked to God about it.

There are three important arms that every Christian is called to carry today in the face of all these trials. They are faith, humility and prayer.

What first comes to your mind when you are confronted with an issue that is seemingly greater than you? Do you remember to take it to God in prayer? Are you even humble enough to know that you are finite and cannot solve every problem? Do you realize that there is power above all powers, and that that power resides in Jesus?

The centurion that approached Jesus for the healing of his child (servant) was a very powerful man (cf. Matt 7:8) but he recognized the greater power in Jesus and travelled a long distance to meet Jesus. Now, you no longer need to travel a long distance to see Jesus. He is right beside you inviting you to tell him your problems.

Are you among those who are running from one miracle center to another seeking to find out what is happening to you? Why do you derive joy in running around when the solution to your problem is right before you?

He does not turn anyone back. Obviously the centurion was a foreigner but those things do not matter to Jesus. He only needs your faith, your holiness of life and availability.

As you turn to him in prayer today, may his face shine upon you so the miracle you so much desired shall be yours through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

I wish you a miraculous and prosperous working week. Peace be with you.
