“DO JUSTICE, AND LOVE KINDNESS AND WALK HUMBLY WITH YOUR GOD” (Mic 6:8)

⏰Monday of the Sixteenth Week of Ordinary Time 2 (23 July 2018)

📖Mic 6:1-4, 6-8; Ps 50:5-6, 8-9, 16bc-17, 21 and 23 (R.v.23bc); Matt 12:38-42

It is a brand new week my dear and the prophet Micah offers us the above tips to enable us receive God’s approval.

👉To do justice entails proper conducts towards others in every facet of societal living.
👉To love kindness means to act with mercy, loyalty and fidelity towards them.
👉To walk humbly with God refers to being in the presence of God and depending totally on him.

Those who are able to keep to that would gain the salvation of the Lord (Ps 50:23).

We have been provided with these tips but how much attention do we pay to this advice?

Not many of us are patient with those little details. We are rather interested in signs and wonders – miracles all over – without experiencing divine transformation. Jesus condemned that attitude in the life of the Jews (cf. Matt 12:38-42).

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness, every other thing would be given to you from above. May God give us the grace to seek his face in righteousness in all we do this week and so gain his blessings. Amen.

Have a blessed and prosperous working week ahead. Peace be with you.
