In the solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord, we celebrate God’s revelation of himself to all of humanity, unhindered by any human limitation. Jesus is the light that shines for all to see (cf. John 1:9). Remember that Simeon made reference to that role of being the light to those who sit in darkness and the glory of the people of Israel (Luke 2:32).
