????WHAT KILLS US IS INSIDE OF US!
Formation is very important in the life of everyone. At every stage of our growth, psychologists say that there is something that is formed in us that influences our future. That supports the wisdom of the Book of the Proverbs when it says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Prov 22:6).????
Washing hands and legs was a religious rite among the Jews who, and the Pharisees who ensured that no aspect of the Law is disobeyed were not happy with Jesus when he sat for dinner without washing hands (cf. Luke 11:38).????
Jesus used that opportunity to teach us an important lesson, “What people sees us do is not what matters but what God sees in us.” That thing God sees in us is in our heart.????
Can you now see why St Paul was also making great effort to ensure that the Galatians are not giving in to external circumcision while neglecting the essential – Christ?????
What is your disposition when you go to confession or perform other religious rites? Is it for people to see you and praise you as a religious person? Let us remember that what people say about you would not count much on the day of judgement.????
So, let us work more to purify our heart so that the day of judgement would not be a disaster for us. May God grant you the grace to set your priorities right and seek first and firmly the kingdom of God and its righteousness. Amen.????????
I wish you grace-filled and successful day. It is well with you.????????
Amen
