🎤THE MIRACLE OF LOVE

To love is to know God because love defines the very essence of God. St John says that “he who loves is born of God and knows God…for God is love” (1 John 4:7-8). Hence, to love is to reveal the face of God to the world since it is out love that God sent his only son into the world (1 John 4:9-10).❤

Therefore, as Jesus continued on his mission of revealing the mysteries of the kingdom of God, he chose to show compassion and feed the flock that was following him (see Mark 6:34-44).

Consider the little quantity of the element that he used to feed that great crowd of five thousand men. It was five loaves and two fishes. Now, that tells us that with God nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37). But more than that, it tells us of the miraculous effect of love and compassion.

In the Johannine parallel of that miracle of the loaves (John 6:5-15), we were told that it was through the generosity of a little boy, who gave out what he ought to live on, that the miracle was performed.

Can you be generous enough to show a little love to that person beside you? It matters not whom; the world would miraculously be turned into heaven on earth through that.

May God’s love shower on you today and make you a living testimony of God’s favour and a further messenger of that love. Amen.

Have a lovely day ahead. Peace be with you.
