“LOOK, I HAVE OPENED A DOOR BEFORE YOU WHICH NOBODY CAN SHUT” (Rev 3:8)
⏰Wednesday of the Second Week of Easter (11 April 2018)
📕Acts 5:17-26; Ps 34:2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9 (R.v.7a); John 3:16-21
My dear, the word of God cannot be caged nor stopped from fulfilling its purpose; no opposition can stop its fearless and raging force (read Acts 5:17-26).
The high priest and the Sadducees tried to cage this word as the Apostles went about proclaiming it but the angel of the Lord would not allow them to succeed. Nobody can hinder the word from achieving its purpose (cf. Isa 55:10-11).
This same word of God says that there is no condemnation for those who believe in the only-begotten Son of God (cf. John 3:16; Rom 8:1). Remember also that no weapon fashioned against him shall succeed (cf. Isa 54:17).
👉Is anybody threatening to kill you when the Word of God already says, “I have come that [you] may have life in abundance” (John 10:10)?
👉Who says that you shall not succeed in your business or work nor ever bear children in your marriage when the Word of God had already given a command, “Be fruitful and multiply” (Gen 1:28)?
👉Who says that you shall remain in that bed of sickness when the Word of God already tells you, “Stand up, take your mat and walk” (John 5:8)?
Nobody can stop God’s purpose for us. But the question before us now is on whether we really and truly believe.
Note that being a believer does not merely mean being a Church member. Otherwise, the Pharisees wouldn’t have been condemned. While it is very necessary that we are Church members (see Acts 2:42-47, 4:32-37), our righteousness must outgrow that of the Pharisees for us to be saved (cf. Matt 5:20).
Do people see Christ in me? Do people see Christ in you?
May we live lives worthy of bearing the name ‘Christian’ so that the salvation I really be ours in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Have a fulfilling day dear. Peace be with you.
