Today is a day of thanksgiving for me. It is on this day, exactly one year ago, that God saved me from a terrible accident in which I lost my car but was miraculously left without a scratch. Join me then singing praises to the Lord and in praying that I will always honour him with holiness of life.??

Do you think that God has done any great thing for you? Have you ever thought of giving back something to him in appreciation??

Sometimes, many of us even go to the extent of making promises to God, as Hannah did, in order to receive favour from God;

?Lord, if you let me get this favour, I will serve with my whole life;

?Lord, let me pass this exam and I will praise your name for ever;

?Lord, please let me get this job, I will give you my first salary, etc.

But what happens after God has granted us those desires? Some of us even forget to say “Thank you Lord.”?

Learn something from Hannah and Mary today, and see that you cannot outdo God in generosity. Hannah gave Samuel his only son back to God (1 Sam 1:28) and became a mother of more children (1 Sam 2:21).?

On her part, Mary gave God her time in service to the needy (Luke 1:39, 56; John 2:3-5) and all generation calls her blessed (Luke 1:42, 48; 11:28).?

What have you given back to God for your life? It is not late yet. Go now and do something for him. Do not look for him in far away places. He is right beside you in the faces of the poor and less privileged.?

As you do that, may you also have the cause to sing out in praises like Hannah (1 Sam 2:1-11) and Mary (Luke 1:46-55), amen.?

I wish you a joyous and miraculous day ahead. It is well with you.?
