“I WILL BE WITH YOU” (Exod 3:12)

⏰Tuesday of the Fifteenth Week of Ordinary Time 1 (18 July 2017)

????Exod 2:1-15a; Ps 69:3, 14, 30-31, 33-34 (R.v.33); Matt 11:20-24

There is really nothing we can do without God (cf. John 15:5). The wise know the mind of God, what he wants of us, and then follow it. No one can know the mind of God if it has not been revealed to him by Jesus. The only ones disposed to listen to Jesus are those who humble themselves like little children. It is to these that the mind of God has been revealed (see Matt 11:25-27).

Some people rush in and start acting without waiting to hear from God and then make mistakes. Moses fell a victim of that when he went to fight for the rights of his people without first getting the mandate of God (cf. Exod 2:11-15). But now, it is time to be sent back to the same place he once ran away from. He felt incapable but God said to him, “I will be with you” (Exod 3:12).

Yes! One with God is the majority. The scripture says that there are so many powers on the earth, yet he that is in us is greater than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4).

With such an assurance of divine presence my dear, you don’t need to be afraid of any power that is threatening you because he that is with you is the mighty man in battle (cf. Ps 24:8) and the Lion of the tribe of Judah (Rev 5:5).

Do you also realise that you are nothing apart from what God made you? Do you consult him before you act or you go ahead to do your will? Who takes the honour when you have finished your duty?

May God’s blessing, love and protection abide in you today and beyond. Amen.

I wish you a blessed day spent under the inspiration of God. Peace be with you dear.
