?”GOD IS LIGHT AND IN HIM IS NO DARKNESS AT ALL” (1 John 1:5)
My dear, as we have stepped into the very last week in the year 2015, I pray that all the good things you ever starts must be directed by God to their fruitful completion through Christ our Lord. Amen.?
Today, in the life of the Church, and still in the spirit of Christmas, we celebrate the feast of the Holy Innocents, that is, those children who were murdered by Herod in a bid to kill Jesus (cf. Matt 2:13-18). I have never seen anyone who heard that story and applauded Herod; or have you??
Note the intention for which Herod committed that crime – he wanted to preserve his dynasty from unwanted intrusion. Obviously, he was a pro-choice; he wanted to get rid of the baby Jesus so that he would be free, and his future would not be affected.?
I don’t know if you can already see where we are going. Do we not have many Herods today? Have the violence against children been stopped? What are the reasons people commit abortion? Is it for the same reason Herod killed the children? We must stop this evil lest we end up the way Herod ended (cf. Acts 12:23).⚠
As for those who suffer different kinds of violence for the sake of Christ, remember that whatever you lose for his sake or that of the gospel, you will gain in abundance in eternal life (cf. Mark 8:35).?
May God have mercy and heal the wounds of those who have committed abortion or meted out violence against the weak in the past and are ready to stand in with him in the future. May he also touch the hearts of those who are presently making plans to engage in that crime so that they may change and stand with God, who is Light, at all times. Amen.?
Have a smooth running working week and a joyful end of the year. It is well with you.??
