🎤BREAK THAT BARRIER AND GET TO JESUS!
Jesus is so sweet and fun to be with. He knows exactly how to turn our sorrows into joy. And while men might want to segregate against us, Jesus is ever ready to embrace us. In him is our hope; he is our joy.
So shun anything that discourages you and walk up to Jesus. Even if your case is worse than that of a leper, he is ready to make better than a new born baby. Listen to him, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they will be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will become like wool” (Isa 1:18).
Consider the experience of the leper in Luke 5:12-16. It was a gory tale but Jesus made everything look too simple for him. According to the Law, he is to be secluded from people just as an Ebola patient (cf. Lev 13:1-46) but he shunned the barrier and the stigma to approach Jesus. His story never remained the same.
We may have different forms of leprosy today, it may be in form of great sin that have kept you from receiving Jesus in the Sacrament for a long time. Jesus is not interested in what it is; he is only inviting you to come and take your rest in him (Matt 11:28). Just have faith in him and approach him, you shall be an overcomer (1 John 5:5).
As you approach Jesus in faith today, may he give you more causes for joy so that you may always savour the sweetness of his presence. Amen.
Have a glorious and joyful day ahead. Peace be with you.
