ALL POWERS BELONG TO JESUS (cf. Matt 28:18)

It is a beginning of yet another new working week. There would a lot of things to bother us in this new week. Many forces might even try to pull us down. It is also possible that there is a particular war we have been wedging with the enemy and it is as if we are going to lose.

My dear, in all things, “we are more than conquerors through [Christ] who has loved us. Jesus’ power is super power. No other power is able to withstand it. Can you not see what he did with the demoniac in Mark 5:1ff? It was reported of this demoniac that nothing could ever control him again (cf. Mark 5:3-4). But when Jesus appeared, he fell at his feet and began to beg for mercy (cf. Mark 5:6-7).

That is an ended event; it continues to happen. That is why St. Paul said, “At the name of Jesus, all knees should bend in heaven, on earth and under the earth” (Phil 2:10).

So, do you have any power that is trying to pull you down? Is it the power of sickness, backwardness, unproductivity, insecurity, etc? Whatever it is and wherever it might have come from, remember always that Jesus’ power is stronger. As long as he lives in you, that too shall pass away.

Therefore, try to build your faith around God as great men in the Old Testament that the writer of the Letter to the Hebrews recorded for us today did. It was through their faith that they were able to emerge victorious.

May God grant you a strong faith in him so that you may also emerge victorious in all matters that concern you. Amen.

Kindly pray for the happy repose of Rev. Fr. Benedict Rapuluchukwu Ezenwa who departed from this world on this day, two years ago, and for divine consolation and provision for his mother and his family and friends.

Have a Blessed week ahead. It is well with you.
