YOU ARE SEALED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT! (cf. Eph 1:13)

????YOU ARE SEALED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT! (cf. Eph 1:13)
May the peace of Christ be with you.
In Luke 12:1-7, Jesus sets out to encourage his disciples to be fearless and bear authentic witnesses to their faith. They can always carry on fearlessly knowing that God provides for them, and they too have received power. That power is the Holy Spirit (cf. Acts 1:8).
So, when St Paul tells us in Eph 1:13 that we were sealed with the Holy Spirit, he was simply reminding us that we were given power. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that that power comes with seven (7) gifts: wisdom, understanding, knowledge, counsel, fortitude, piety and fear of God.
With the above gifts we are empowered to shun hypocrisy and live authentic Christian life. According to St Paul, in his Letter to the Galatians, the fruits that is harvested from such a life are, “charity, joy and peace, patience, understanding of others, kindness and fidelity, gentleness and self-control” (Gal 5:22-23).
Are you really sealed with the Holy Spirit? Indeed, everyone who is baptised can boldly answer ‘YES’. But then what kind of fruit do we bear?
May the Holy Spirit continue to empower us as we put all our trust in him. May he also be a wall of protection around you against the plots and ploys of the evil one. Amen.
I wish you a grace-filled day. It is well with you.
