🎤”HE WHO THROUGH FAITH IS RIGHTEOUS SHALL LIVE” (Rom 1:17)
We give thanks to the Lord for this beautiful day which he has made and given to us. We thank him for guiding us through the night and making us to sleep well. Sometimes, we think we might have a sleepless night only to be woken up the next morning by the alarm clock. That is the awesome handiwork of God. May all glory be to his holy name both now and forever. Amen.
For all his goodness to us, we can only repay the him with righteousness. This righteousness must be an integral one (cf. Luke 11:37-41); not be merely an external thing which seeks a show-off before people for self-glorification or just for a mere fulfilment of rituals.
Hence, every religious practice we engage in must be able to transform our lives to resemble the Gospel of Christ which we profess, and devoid of hypocrisy (see Rom 1:16-25). Through that, we can offer our lives as a worthy thanksgiving to God.
St. Theresa of Avila, whose memorial we celebrate today, would not yield to identity crises. Her desire to remain authentic to her vocation in righteousness was what led to the reformation of the Carmelite Order against worldly infiltration. In that way, she achieved the desired sanity and peace.
May God continue to enrich us in his love and grant us the grace to live out what we profess with our mouth. In the end, may he recognise us as his children who did his will on earth (see Matt 7:21-23). Amen
Have a day filled with multiple causes for laughter and thanksgiving. Peace be with you.
