🎤”ENTER BY THE NARROW GATE” (Matt 7:13)
My dear, do you wish to be saved? If yes, then you must follow the way that leads to life and enter through the narrow gate (cf. Matt 7:13-14). That way is already identified by Jesus in the Beatitudes (Matt 5:3-12). God wants all to be saved (cf. 1 Tim 2:4) but only a few choose to be saved (Matt 7:14; 22:14).
Do you wish to be among those who choose to be saved? Jesus gives us a Golden Rule to embrace as the summary of the whole scripture, “Whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them” (Matt 7:12).
Do you treat your maid/servant the way you would want your son, daughter or sibling to be treated if he/she were another person’s maid/servant?
Do you talk to your subordinates the way you would want your superiors to talk to you?
Would you like to be charged in the same way you charged others for your service to them?
The list is endless but the guiding principle should be love (cf. John 13:34). It is that love that spurred Abraham to reach out to his cousin Lot and allowed him to choose even the better part of the pasture (cf. Gen 13:8-13). Of course, that earned him more blessings (cf. Gen 13:14-17). We are all called to do the same thing.
May the blessings of God continue to follow us. And may God grant us the grace of caring for one another so that we all might walk hand-in-hand into life through the narrow gate. Amen.
Have a joyful day ahead. Peace be with you.
